After the conversion, you can choose to have your tapes returned or have them safely disposed of.

The answers to your questions regading my Tape Transfer Service

What types of tapes do you convert?

I convert VHS, VHS, Mini DV, Hi8, Cinefilm and VHS-C tapes to your preferred format—DVD, USB, or an email transfer link.

I make sure your tapes are handled with care throughout the process.

How do I send my tapes to you for conversion?

You can either post your tapes to us or arrange for a collection. We recommend using a trusted courier that offers a tracked service, as we are only responsible for the tapes once they arrive.

How long does tape conversion take?

It typically takes 7-14 days, depending on the number of tapes and the condition they’re in. I’ll give you an estimated timeline when we begin, so you’ll know what to expect.

Can I keep my original tapes after conversion?

Yes! You can choose to have your original tapes returned after the conversion process, or I can safely dispose of them for you if you prefer.

What if the transferred file doesn’t play on my DVD player?

If your DVD does not play, it may be due to your DVD player being outdated. We offer to try one more format free of charge, but after that, there will be an additional fee.

What format will my converted files be in?

Your tapes will be converted to the widely used .MP4 format, which is compatible with most devices.

Do you offer refunds for tape transfers?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for tape transfers, as the process can be lengthy and requires significant resources

Is payment required upfront?

Yes, we charge a fee upfront for the tape transfer service. The cost varies based on the type and length & quantity of the tapes.
